Standings, Playoffs and Awards Predictions – 2022

Well, here we are again, another opening day which means my now one post per year – the standings and awards predictions!

Last season’s predictions were not too bad. My biggest miss for a winning team was the Giants (but they were EVERYONE’s, and the worst call on a losing team was having Cincinnati winning the NL Central). Other than that, I think it played out pretty well – I even had the Braves winning the World Series.

Let’s see how it’ll all play out this season:

Notes: Have some new blood predicted for the two eastern divisions… Detroit should make a big leap… can San Francisco do it again?… the new playoff format is wild and one that takes a second to get a grasp on… have the Dodgers getting to the World Series yet again… I’m a big believer in both Riley Greene and Bobby Witt Jr… hate my AL Cy picks, but who else is there in the AL?… Woodruff or Peralta in Milwaukee could also easily find themselves top 3… giving Betts one more year to be “that” player again.
